Le thème choisi cette année, « Awekening » (le reveil), est en rapport avec le mouvement populaire démocratique « la révolution orange » survenu dans le pays durant l’année 2004. Douze ans plus tard, Kiev accueille de nouveau le Concours Eurovision.

2005, la ville de Kiev en Ukraine accueille, dans son palais des sports, le 50^ème concours eurovision. Les présentateurs de la finale sont Maria Efrosinina animatrice de télévision et Pavlo Shylko animateur radio et télévision.

La Grèce, entrée dans le concours en 1974, remporte pour la 1^ère fois l’Eurovision avec le titre « My Number One » interprétée par Héléna PAPARIZOU.

Ortal représente la France avec son titre « Chacun Pense à Soi », sa place en finale 23^ème sur 24. Ce choix de la candidate française avait eu lieu lors d’une émission diffusée sur France Télévision « un candidat pour l’Eurovision 2005 » dont les 5 finalistes avaient des épreuves musicales dont des duos avec Liane Foly, Julie Zenati, Hélène Segara, Lara Fabian et Laâm.

« That’s Eurovision ! » vous propose la belle interprétation de la candidate Maltaise Chiara avec son titre « Angel » arrivé à la 2^nde place en finale.

Chiara avait déjà représenté son pays à l’Eurovision en 1998 avec « The One That I Love » et s'était classée 3^ème puis fit son retour en 2009 avec « What If We » classée 22^ème.

The theme of this year, « Awekening », has something to do with « the orange revolution », a popular democratic movement that took place in the country in 2004. Twelve years later, Kiev welcomes the Eurovision Song Contest once again.

2005, the city of Kiev in Ukraine receives, in its Sports Palace, the 50^th Eurovision Song Contest. The presenters are Maria Efrosinina, a TV animator, and Pavlo Shylko, radio and TV animator.

Greece, that entered the Contest in 1974, wins Eurovision for the first time with the song « My Number One » performed by Héléna PAPARIZOU.

Ortal represents France with his song « Chacun Pense à Soi », her result in the final 23^th out of 24. The French candidate had been chosen through the TV show « un candidat pour l’Eurovision 2005 » broadcasted by France Télévision (French public TV Company) The 5 finalists had to prove themselves in duets with Liane Foly, Julie Zenati, Hélène Segara, Lara Fabian et Laâm.

« That’s Eurovision ! » proposes you the beautiful performance of Chiara, the Maltese candidate, with her song « Angel » that reached the 2^nd place in the final.
