ABBA - The Album - 40th Anniversary

Le 12 décembre 1977, ABBA sort son 5^ème album studio, sobrement intitulé « The Album ».

Afin de fêter dignement ce 40^ème anniversaire, vous aurez la possibilité de vous procurer en format vinyle :

• Une box composée des trois singles extraits de cet album, « The Name of the Game », « Take a Chance on Me » et « Eagle ». Ces trois 45 tours sont en couleur (respectivement bleu, rouge et jaune),
• Ces mêmes singles, en version « picture disc »,
• Une réédition « half speed master » en vitesse 45 tours, sous format double LP de l’album « The Album ». (Technique qui produit un master de haute qualité).

Il s’agit, tout comme pour l’album précédent « Arrival », d’éditions limitées.

Si pour certains il s’agit d’une énième opération marketing de la maison de disque (car il n’y a toujours aucun titre inédit ou bonus), pour les autres, il s’agit d’objets indispensables à tout bon collectionneur.

December 12^th 1977, ABBA’s 5^th studio album is out, soberly called « The Album ».

In order to celebrate this 40^th anniversary fittingly,  you will have the possibility to get these vinyls :

• A box composed with the three singles taken of this album, « The Name of the Game », « Take a Chance on Me » and « Eagle ». Those three 7’ are coloured ones (respectively blue, red and yellow),
• Those same singles, in « picture disc » version,
• A new « Half speed master » edition, a 45 rpm one, a double « The Album » LP (A high quality master sound).

As it was the case for the previous album « Arrival », it will be limited editions.

For some, this will be another record company marketing attempt (because there is nothing new, no bonus), for others, those are precious items you must have as a collector.
