La Lituanie est le dernier des 3 états baltes à dévoiler son candidat pour Kiev. C’est la télévision nationale (LRT) qui a proposé une sélection par le biais du show « Eurovizijos“ dainų konkurso nacionalinė atranka ».

Ce sera la 18^ème participation pour la Lituanie qui a obtenu sa meilleure position au Concours en 2006 (6^ème).

Les sélections ont été laborieuses et longues, puisque le pays a organisé 8 shows, soit 89 chansons pour n’en retenir que 8 lors d’une demi-finale qui s’est déroulé le 4 mars dernier.

Puis le 6 mars, une séance de rattrapage a été organisée avec 6 autres artistes.

La grande finale est donc composée des 6 artistes choisis lors de la demi-finale, auxquels est ajouté 1 artiste retenu lors de la séance de rattrapage.

C'est Fusedmarc qui représentera la Lituanie à Kiev avec la chanson "Rain of Revolution".

Lithuania is the last of the three Baltic States to reveal its candidate for Kiev.This is the national television company (LTR) which proposed a selection with the TV show « Eurovizijos“ dainų konkurso nacionalinė atranka ».

It will be the 18^th participation of Lithuania that reached its best position in the 2006 Contest (6^th).

Selections have been laborious and lasted a long time, because the country organized 8 shows, that is to say 89 songs to keep only 8 during a semi-final that took place on last March 4^th.

Then, on March 6^th, a resit was organized for 6 other artists.

So, the grand final is composed of 6 artists who have been chosen during the semi-final, to them is added 1 artist kept during the resit.

It's Fusedmarc that will represent Lithuania in Kiev with the song "Rain of Revolution".
