Lea Sirk va représenter la Slovénie au Portugal avec la chanson « Hvala, ne! ».

La Slovénie est entrée au Concours en 1993 et a participé à presque toutes les éditions depuis (absente en 1994 et en 2000).

Son meilleur résultat à ce jour fut la 7^ème place qu’elle obtint à deux reprises (en 1995 et en 2001).

La désormais célèbre sélection nationale « EMA » a proposé 8 chansons pour sa finale.
